What Is Orthopaedic Nursing? Our speciality requires a specialized body of knowledge dedicated to the care of persons experiencing musculoskeletal disorders. The scope of orthopaedics is diverse, touching all ages across the life span. It encompasses multiple foci such as teaching about bone health, osteoporosis and injury prevention, to caring for patients with congenital disorders, sports injuries, back pain, fractures, and arthritis.

Applications For 2013 Clara Donahoo Memorial Lectureship Now Being Accepted
The Clara Donahoo Memorial Clinical Lectureship is to promote excellence in orthopaedic nursing by addressing best practices, health policy or clinical research. The lecture will be presented as a 1.5 hour General Session at NAON's 2013 Annual Congress and offered for publication in Orthopaedic Nursing.
